Burning Calories The Smart Way
Okay guys I know I missed a post last weekend, but we were revamping our home and decluttering all over!! I highly recommend a good decluttering, it not only clears your home but your mind as well. I would love to post about that and share some of the pics from our household adventures, but today I want to talk about burning calories.
I did some research on the web and found this video:

This man's name is Yuri and he comes up with a very scientific and mathematical formula to burning calories.
W=F*D
In essence this video breaks down how energy is burned through work, which is equal to force times distance. I provided the link so that you can view this video it's about 10 minutes long and he describes in better detail all of the scientific and mathematical aspects to this concept. Basically he discusses burning more calories in a shorter amount of time by enhancing weight and distance causing your body to work harder.
I did some research on Google and YouTube and found several other videos on a channel called AsapScience. Here's what I learned that:
- Calories are the amount of energy or heat it takes to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 degree Celsius
- Eight glasses of water per day can burn an extra 70 calories multiply that by 3 days you're burning off 200 calories just by drinking water
- Eight glasses of iced water will burn off 250 calories just because your body needs to work to bring the ice water to body temperature
- When working out use bursts of cardio to increase your heart rate which will increase the amount of blood pumped to the muscles burning more calories faster
- Working more than one group of muscles at a time also increases the amount of calories burned
- Increasing weight or adding resistance adds muscle which also burns more calories
- Using a steeper incline on your treadmill or walking outdoors will burn more calories as well
- Explosive exercises such as burpees, jumping jacks, skipping, or jumping rope require more energy resulting in more calories burned
I hope I helped you all with some of these tips, I know I will be using some of them and letting you know the outcomes. Leave any questions, comments, or suggestions below and thanks for reading!!

I never knew drinking ice water help to burn calories. I might have to try this and also recommend it. Love tips!
